it's so HUGE!

What might you ask would draw me from my blogging slumber? Insomnia (I'm sure it had nothing to do with the two Red Bulls) and a new mac, of course! Thought I'm still blogging from ol' Betsy, I'm just a firewire cable away (and hours of setting up software... sigh) from using the new giant fucking computer.

Did I really want a 24" widescreen monitor? Not really, I was after the processing power. But these days, ALL flavor of screens are freakin' large. To give you some perspective, check out my 27" TV in the background that I bought way back in 1995 or so. When your computer monitor is as big as your TV, it probably means that you're behind on your consumerism - though in this one shot there are enough electronics to probably feed a small family for a year if you tallied up the retail value (I'm not sure if that's such a good thing).

Here's an updated comparison shot. The computers are in the process of exchanging all of my data and settings. The verdict: so far, so good! If everything pans out, I'm going to love Apple even more!
